Strike Up The Banns by Olwen Wymark (Comedy) 4th – 8th October 2022

Welcome to the first play in our 2022 / 2023 Season.

A dinner party is given by Geraldine and Reg, two ageing hippies who are trapped in respectability in the Green Belt by Geraldine’s domineering mother, Mrs Carmichael. As a way of brightening up the evening, Geraldine decides to play the part of Reg’s imaginary brother Rollo, a cad and a bounder, in imitation of Rollo. Chaos ensues when Reg dresses up as Rollo’s eccentric wife, Lillian. Olwen Wymark’s suburban comedy is a rebel’s dream, a hostess’s nightmare, and an audience’s delight.
