Gaslight (Thriller) by Patrick Hamilton – 18th – 22nd April 2023

Gaslight is a psychological thriller set in Victorian times. Patrick Hamilton’s play depicts a marriage plagued by deceit and trickery. Could Bella be losing her grip on reality, or could something more sinister be afoot? Inspector Rough appears and the plot thickens as Mrs Manningham doubts her own sanity. The term ‘Gaslighting’ originated in this classic thriller as a form of emotional abuse that makes the victim question their reality.
