Count Dracula by Ted Tiller (Drama)

Count Dracula leaves the shadowed mountains of Transylvania with a single, cold purpose. He wants to bring his ancient curse to the foggy streets of England. When young solicitor Jonathan Harker travels to Transylvania to finalise the Count’s property affairs, he discovers too late that the castle is a prison, and its master is no ordinary man.

Back in England, the bright promise of modern life begins to dim. Lucy Westenra, radiant and full of life, falls into a mysterious wasting illness. Night after night, something unseen draws closer. The line between dream and nightmare blurs beneath a blood-red moon, and those who love her are helpless against an enemy they cannot name.

Enter Professor Van Helsing. Relentless, brilliant, and unafraid to speak what others dare not acknowledge. Armed with ancient knowledge and unyielding resolve, he assembles a band of unlikely heroes. Among them the devoted Dr Seward, the fearless Mina, and the recovering Jonathan Harker. They follow a trail of secrets, sacrifice, and forbidden lore toward a final confrontation with the Count himself.

Ted Tiller’s celebrated stage adaptation distils Stoker’s gothic masterpiece into a gripping two-act play. It preserves all the atmosphere, dread, and character depth of the novel while delivering tightly paced theatrical drama. Expect gasps, chills, and a story that has haunted audiences for over a century.

This is an extra production to our regular 2025/26 season. We are also changing our regular seasons so that they are now annual from January to December each year from 2027 onwards.
